Antoni Wit (born February 7, 1944 in Kraków) is a Polish conductor. Wit works with leading orchestras worldwide including the Dresden Philharmonic, Budapest Festival Orchestra, St Petersburg Philharmonic, La Scala Milan, NHK Tokyo, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, New Zealand Symphony and the Berlin Philharmonic. he has been music director of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra since 2002. In his mid-sixties, he is a widely recognised musician with a distinguished conducting style typical of a Central European maestro. Antoni Wit is particularly renowned for his comprehensive recordings of Polish music – in particular Szymanowski, Karłowicz and Lutosławski
